Franklin PD sees an uptick in car break-ins and thefts

FRANKLIN, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The Franklin Police Department is warning people about an uptick in car break-ins and thefts.

According to the department's Facebook page, they've received more reports of thieves breaking into homes to get car keys.

Police are warning people to lock their doors and cars to avoid becoming victims of theft. They also recommended removing your garage door opener from your car overnight.
