WAUWATOSA (CBS 58)--This year’s Thanksgiving promises to be scaled down for so many of us on so many levels because of the current pandemic.  From the number of people at the table to perhaps the number of items we’re actually serving for dinner itself.  But this doesn’t mean we don’t have to be any less creative.  If you’re only having four to five people, one expert at Outpost Natural Foods in Wauwatosa suggests skipping the giant turkey and choose different fowl at a fraction of the size.

Director of Community Relations, Margaret Mittelstadt, says there are many smaller options to consider, including Cornish hens, turkey breast, and roasted chicken.

Of course we can’t think about Thanksgiving without mentioning leftovers.  The experts say there’s so much more than just turkey sandwiches.  Turkey soups, pizza, and chili are all considerations.  And while you’re at it, don’t forget about relaxing teas, candles, and aromatherapy items for some “stress soothing” in case you need it.
