MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office has identified a man killed in a crash Thursday evening. 

Authorities say a reckless driver took off from a deputy just after 5:00 p.m. April 11. The suspect crashed into another vehicle at the intersection of 13th and Morgan, killing 25-year-old Pedro Colon-Ortiz of Milwaukee. Two other eastbound vehicles were also hit in the collision.

After a short foot chase, an 18-year-old man and two passengers were arrested. When authorities searched the vehicle, they reported finding a gun and drugs. 

The 18-year-old suspect is currently being held on possible charges of operating a motor vehicle causing death along with weapon and drug-related charges. The passengers are being detained for possible drug-related charges. 

The driver of the two other vehicles in the crash had minor injuries and were treated and released from an area hospital. 

The Sheriff's Office says the deputy is 28 years old and has ten months of service with the Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office. He has been placed on administrative leave.

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Three people are in custody and an innocent man is dead after the Milwaukee County Sheriff says a pursuit ended in a multi-vehicle crash. 

The chase started on the freeway just after 5:00 Thursday evening and ended near 13th and Morgan on Milwaukee's south side. 

During a press conference, Milwaukee County Sheriff Earnell Lucas says a vehicle was driving recklessly on the interstate when a deputy tried to pull the vehicle over. The vehicle exited the freeway at Holt and continued westbound, driving recklessly. The vehicle then hit a southbound vehicle at the intersection of 13th and Morgan. Multiple vehicles were involved in the crash. 

According to the Milwaukee Fire Department, a Milwaukee County Sheriff's Deputy was among those injured in the crash. A 25-year-old Milwaukee man was pronounced dead at the scene. Four others were said to have been taken to the hospital for unknown injuries. 

The Sheriff says an 18-year-old man driving the fleeing vehicle and two female passengers are in custody after trying to run away from the scene. Sheriff Lucas says a gun and drugs were found in the car. 

Milwaukee Police will be handling the death investigation.

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- A Milwaukee County Sheriff's Deputy was among those injured in a deadly crash Thursday evening. 

According to the Milwaukee Fire Department, two people, including the sheriff's deputy, were taken by ambulance to a nearby hospital after the crash near 13th and Morgan.

Three others were taken to the hospital by private ambulance. One person was pronounced dead at the scene.

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- One person has died after a multi-vehicle crash on Milwaukee's south side, the Milwaukee County Medical Examiner's Office has confirmed. 

It happened Thursday evening near 13th and Morgan. According to the Milwaukee Fire Department, at least four people were taken to the hospital.
