MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee Police have released more information on the string of robberies and are looking for a suspect.

According to police, the robberies happened on the south side in the Bay View neighborhood between 1 a.m. Tuesday, September 4 and 9:45 p.m.

The alleged robber targeted gas stations and fast food restaurants, five in total, all in close proximity to one another near S. Howell.

But according to employees, the robber wasn't successful at all of them.

“He came back and tried to attack my employee, and my employee pushed him away, and he dropped the box cutter, he tried to go inside the building but my employee got there before him, they let him go, so he just ran away,” said Varshan Bhimani, gas station manager.

The suspect also tried the Taco Bell on W. Oklahoma, but it was no match.

“When he seen there was five of us here, we outnumbered him, and he was very small compared to us, so I guess you can say he came into the wrong Taco Bell,” said Ivan Martinez.

No one was injured.

The suspect has been identified as a white man in his late 30s about 5'7" tall and 150 pounds. He has reddish or brown hair, a beard with a slim build and was last seen wearing a dark colored hoodie, black gloves, dark pants and light color shoes.

In the robberies, the suspect says he has a weapon inside the sweatshirt.

Anyone with information is asked to call police at 414-935-7360.
