MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Forward Latino, a national nonprofit advocacy group shared remarks regarding the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) in southeastern Wisconsin Thursday, Oct. 3.
They were joined by local officials, along with faith and community leaders.
In reaction to the recent ICE raids around our state, they aimed to inform and offer support systems for those that may be targeted.
"So given that we are literally under attack, I'm asking that people remain diligent, look out for your neighbor, help your neighbor, and know your own rights," said Milwaukee Common Council President Jose Perez.
Forward Latino offers an emergency reference guide on their website HERE. It has more information on safety measures and steps to take in the event of an emergency family separation.
