Meet CBS 58’s Pet of the Week: Nyla
FORT ATKINSON, Wis. (CBS 58) -- No officers will be charged in a deadly police shooting in Fort Atkinson.
Newly released surveillance and body camera video shows the moments leading up to the shooting that happened on Oct. 26.
The Jefferson County District Attorney's Office says officers were called to a home for reports of shots fired.
The DA said Logan Krahn had been arguing with a family member and pointed a gun at her.
A neighbor also heard a gunshot.
Investigators say Krahn was armed with a rifle and was given repeated commands to drop it.
Home surveillance video shows Krahn walking out the front door.
Witnesses say he raised a rifle toward an officer taking cover behind a van.
The officer fired several shots.
Krahn was taken to the hospital and later died.
The DA says after reviewing video and witness statements, deadly force was justified and no crime was committed.
