America's 41st president, George H.W. Bush is recovering from a fall in a Maine hospital today.   The 91-year old suffered a broken bone in his neck in a fall at his summer home in Kennebunkport, Maine early Wednesday.

A spokesman tweeted that the former president is stable, is fine, though he will need to wear a neck brace.

George Herbert Walker Bush was elected president in 1988, after serving two terms as Ronald Reagan's vice-president.   He served one term before losing the 1992 election to Bill Clinton.   His son George W. Bush became president after winning the disputed 2000 election.
