MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- An announcement on if former Milwaukee Police Chief Alfonso Morales will take over the Fitchburg Police Department could be released this week.
The Police and Fire Commission for the Madison suburb could make its hiring recommendation this week, Sept. 20-26.
Morales is up for nomination against a captain with the Salt Lake City Police Department.
The upcoming decision comes after Morales and the City of Milwaukee agreed to a settlement after a long legal battle.
As part of the settlement, Morales will receive $627 thousand dollars and must drop all lawsuits against the city.
