MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) – A sentence was handed down Tuesday for former Milwaukee police officer Dominique Heaggan-Brown, the officer who killed Syville Smith in Sherman Park.
Heaggan-Brown was sentenced to three and a half years behind bars with three years of extended supervision for unrelated sexual assault charges that came to light after the shooting that led to several nights of unrest.
Heaggan-Brown addressed the court Tuesday before learning his sentence.
