Former Marquette basketball player Travis Diener and family return from Italy

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Former Marquette standout Travis Diener has returned home after his pro season was suspended in Italy.

His family caught one of the last flights out of Milan before the airport shut down.

He says his wife and three children are self-quarantining in Mequon and feeling great, but have heavy hearts for a trio of seniors that had their season cut short Thursday.

"You dream about the NCAA tournament as a kid, it's March Madness, it's what everyone watches," Diener said. "You know, you look forward to that. Marquette has struggled a little recently, but you look forward to that moment where things can change. For those kids not to be able to experience that is heartbreaking."

MU has struggled, alright. Right to the bottom. Welcome home anyway, Travis!
