Former Kenosha teacher, basketball coach accused of "sexting" will stand trial

A former high school teacher and basketball coach has been ordered to stand trial on charges he sent sexually explicit text messages to underage students.
Jeff Spencer, 25, waived his right to a preliminary hearing Tuesday. Spencer was a math teacher and girls' basketball coach at Indian Trail High School in Kenosha. He resigned from the district in early February.
Prosecutors say they have evidence of Spencer sending sexually explicit text messages to two girls on separate occasions and also say Spencer kissed one of the girls twice.
Spencer returns to court March 31 for an arraignment.
