MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- A former Milwaukee County Jail worker charged for her role in the 2016 death of an inmate has taken a plea deal.
Terrill Thomas, who was an inmate at the Milwaukee County Jail, was found dead from dehydration in his cell.
Evans pleaded no contest to a charge of misconduct in office and a second charge, obstructing an officer, was dismissed.
Evans will be sentenced for the misconduct charge on March 22. Two other jail staffers were also charged. Kashka Meadors was sentenced to 60 days in jail and James Ramsey-Guy is awaiting sentencing for a plea agreement of his own.
