Former abuser turned pastor says you can change your behavior

MILWAUKEE-Robb Taylor may just have an idea about what Ray Rice is going through.

The local pastor was sent to jail 20 years ago for beating his wife.

He's speaking out in light of the recent NFL scandal in hopes of encouraging abusers to get help and change their behavior.

\"I had to admit I was doing this,\" Taylor told CBS 58's Lila Carrera. \"It wasn't my PTSD. I was doing this because I chose to do it.\"

Taylor served time, got therapy and has married again.

He's been with the same woman for 15 years and she says he's never hit her.

\"It didn't scare me at all,\" Vanessa Taylor says. 'Because I believe in change.\"

The Taylor now work with a group called \"Nevermore\" which helps men who have abused their partners.
