Fond du Lac squad car goes up in blaze

On Thursday, July 20 at 2:39 PM Fond du Lac Fire/Rescue responded to a report of a vehicle fire at 459 E. 1st Street. Upon arrival fire crews found a police squad on fire.
The car was located in close proximity to the building which forced patients and staff to be relocated. Fond du Lac fire personnel quickly extinguished the fire, but not before heavy damage was caused to the squad.
There was no damage to the building and no injuries reported.
The fire cause wasn’t suspicious and appeared to be mechanical in nature.
