City of Fond du Lac Police investigating shooting incident

FOND DU LAC, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The City of Fond du Lac Police are investigating a non-fatal shooting incident. 

According to police, officers responded for reports of a shooting near 8th St. and S. Park Ave. around 8 p.m. on Wednesday.  

A 20-year-old Fond du Lac man sustained a non-fatal gunshot wound to the leg. The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment. 

Over the course of the investigation, Police determined a vehicle had fled the scene. It was later located near Roosevelt St. and E. Bank St. in the City of Fond du Lac. 

A search warrant was issued. SWAT and crisis negotiation team assisted in serving the warrant. Several individuals were taken into custody for questioning without further incident. 

The investigation is on going at this time.
