Fond du Lac man shoots at police during chase Thursday evening

FOND DU LAC, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Fond du Lac Police were called to Linden Street between South and 9th for threats on Thursday evening around 7:39.

Witnesses said the suspect claimed to have a gun but did not show it. The suspect left before police arrived.

About 30 minutes later officers went to a house on 3rd Street to search for the suspect. Officers saw a man matching the suspect description walking. When the officers approached, the man ran away and officers gave chase for about a block. During the chase the suspect shot once at the officers. 

The officers took the suspect into custody at gun point without further incident.

No officers fired their weapons and no one was injured.

The suspect was identified as a 34-year-old Fond du Lac man.
