UPDATE: Fond du Lac County Sheriff's Office identifies man who died in fall from cliff

FOND DU LAC, Wis. (CBS 58) --  The Fond du Lac County Sheriff's Office has identified the hiker who died in the Oakfield Ledge State Nature area on Friday as 19-year-old Pierce Neighbor of Fond du Lac. 

Neighbor died after falling over a cliff in the nature area around 2 p.m. Friday.

FOND DU LAC, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A hiker has died after falling from a cliff in the area of the Oakfield Ledge State Nature area.

The Fond du Lac County Sheriff's Office was called out for a report of a man who had fallen while hiking with a group of friends.

It happened shortly after 2 p.m. on Friday.

The hikers were unable to provide an exact location due to the remote area and difficult terrain.

First responders located the group with the use of GPS coordinates from the 911 call.

The man who fell from the cliff was reported dead at the scene.

Names are being withheld pending family notification.
