Flight for Life called in Racine County Accident

A teenage driver was flown by Flight for Life to Froedtert Hospital Wednesday night following a two car accident in the Town of Yorkville, Racine County.  According to the Racine County Sheriff’s Office, the teenage girl, the driver of one of the vehicles involved in the 6 PM accident need to be extricated from her car and then was flown to the hospital for treatment of her injuries.  The driver and two teenage female passengers received what is described as life threatening injuries.  Further information about their conditions is not available at this time.

The driver of the second vehicle, a 58-year-old Wind Lake man received non-life threatening injuries.

According to investigators, the vehicles collided at the intersection of 2 Mile Road and County Highway U when the westbound Honda SUV driven the man failed to yield the right of way to the Dodge Neon which was traveling southbound on CTH U.

No names have been released and the circumstances surrounding the accident continue to be investigated.
