Flight for Life called after motorcycle accident in Washington County

A 42-year-old man was seriously injured following a motorcycle crash Thursday evening.

Deputies responded to the 8900 block of Cty Tk XX, in the town of Farmington, for a single vehicle (motorcycle) crash with injury.

Upon arrival, Flight for Life was called to the scene for the operator and sole occupant of the motorcycle.

The initial investigation reveals that the operator was westbound on Cty Tk XX when he slid and lost control for an unknown reason. He crossed over into the south ditch and was ejected from the motorcycle. The motorcycle sustained extensive damage.

The operator was flown to a local hospital where he is currently being treated for serious injuries.

The man was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.

No further information is being released at this time.

The crash remains under investigation.
