Fleeing vehicle causes multi-car crash near Sherman and Meinecke

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee police are investigating a multi-vehicle crash that happened on Wednesday, Nov. 13. 

It happened near Sherman and Meinecke around 3:32 p.m. 

According to Milwaukee police, the driver that caused the crash was being shot at and chased by someone in another car. While trying to get away, the suspect blew through a stop sign, hitting two cars, and causing one to roll. 

The fleeing vehicle was determined to be stolen, and the driver fled on foot. A passenger of the stolen vehicle was arrested and transported to a local hospital for non-fatal injuries. 

The occupants of the other two vehicles were transported to a hospital for non-fatal injuries. 

Police say at the time, they have not located any shooting victims, and they are still searching for the unknown driver that fled on foot.
