Five children and one adult injured in Racine dog bite incidents

RACINE --  Five children and one adult male were injured in weekend dog biting incidents in the City of Racine. Police say two of the dogs involved in these biting incidents are pit bulls, and the third is a pit bull mix.

 

On August 23, two seven-year-old boys were bit by a pit bull named \"Pretty Boy\". Police say Pretty Boy escaped from a fenced in yard, and ran into an alley. The dog began attacking two seven-year-old boys. According to police, a 44-year-old male tried to stop the dog attack and was bit. Police say the 44-year-old man escaped the pit bull by jumping in a van. Police eventually located Pretty Boy and his owner in the City of Kenosha. Pretty Boy's owner, Alfred Anderson, was arrested for Probation Violation and Obstructing an Office. He was also cited for Animal at Large, No Dog License, and Vaccination Required.

 

Two young girls were injured by a pit bull on August 23 around 4:00 p.m. Police say a seven-year-old girl and an eleven-year-old were visiting family in the 1600 block of Quincy Ave. A pit bull named \"Lilo\" was released from a kennel inside the house, and wandered into the home's backyard. According to police, Lilo was startled by the children playing in the backyard. That's when the five-year-old girl was bit and the eleven-year-old girl was bit when she tried to free the younger girl from the dog's grip. Lilo's owner, Maria Arizmendi, was issued a citation for No Dog License.

 

A five-year-old was bit by a dog named \"Felony\" on August 24 around 2:30 p.m. Police say the pit bull mix bit the five-year-old in the face after the child tried to pet him. Felony's owner, Tiffany Brown, was issued citations for No Dog License and Vaccination Required.

 

All victims were transported to area hospitals for treatement of their injuries.
