Fischer, Ellenson lead Marquette to 2K Classic championship

Marquette's big men Luke Fischer and Henry Ellenson scored 18 points a piece as Marquette picked up the 2K Classic tournament title with a 78-73 overtime win over Arizona State in New York.

One night after an impressive win over 22nd ranked LSU, the Golden Eagles hung tough with Bobby Hurley's Sun Devils, but still found themselves trailing by six with five minutes to play. Fischer scored six straight points from there to tie the game and help send it to overtime. Henry Ellenson and Duane Wilson sank early buckets in the extra period, and several free throws helped Marquette seal the win and the holiday tournament title.

Marquette sank just three three-pointers on the night, shooting 21% from behind the arc, but five MU players still scored in double figures on the night.
