Firefighters rescue two from burning home in Racine

RACINE, WI (CBS 58I) -- Two people were rescued by firefighters from a burning house in Racine early Sunday morning.

According to the Racine Fire Department, first responders were able to rescue two men from a  house fire at 19th Street and Arthur Avenue.  The fire was reported around 3:25 AM and as firefighters arrived they could see flames could be seen coming from the roof of the residence.   Fortunately, no one was injured as a result of the fire.   Officials believe the fire is electrical in nature and originated in the ceiling above a doorway to the bedroom where one of the residents was sleeping. 

Damage to the house is estimated at $90,000.   The Red Cross is assisting the men who were living in the home.
