Firefighters find frozen remains of missing man, 19, in Marinette County

MARINETTE COUNTY, Wis. (WBAY VIA WFRV) -- The Marinette County Sheriff's office says rescue crews have found a body that matches the description of a missing man.

The sheriff's office says an abandoned car was found near Brown Spur Road in the Town of Niagara on the snowmobile trail on Sunday afternoon.

The car belonged to a 19-year-old Houghton, Mich. man.

Niagara firefighters located frozen remains deep woods about 8:30 Sunday night.

The remains were handed over to the Marinette County Coroner's Office. An autopsy is scheduled.

The man's name was not released.
