Firefighters battle scrap yard fire on city's north side

MILWAUKEE, WI (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee Firefighters battled a scrap yard fire on the city’s north side  for about an hour tonight.   The fire was reported around 7:35 PM in a salvage yard at N Green Bay Road and W Congress Street.  According to fire officials, about 20 scrapped automobiles were burning.   The  Milwaukee Fire and Milwaukee Police Fire Investigation units are working to determine the cause of the fire.   No injuries were reported to either firefighters or civilians as a result of the fire.   A dollar estimate of the damage is not available at this time.
