
MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee police responded to a fire near 13th and Holmes at about 1:30 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 28.
The Milwaukee Fire Department reports that the blaze spread throughout the building, which is considered a total loss. All occupants were able to evacuate with assistance from firefighters.
Three people were injured. One victim broke an ankle while jumping from a window. Two others suffered first-degree burns and smoke inhalation. All are receiving treatment at local hospitals.
According to police, the fire does not appear suspicious but remains under investigation.
