Fire damages 20-Unit apartment complex in Waukesha

Two balconies caught fire late Saturday night at a multi-family apartment complex in Waukesha, causing evacuation of the entire building.

When Waukesha Police and Fire arrived at the Maple Village Apartments at 322 Maple Ave. they observed fire showing from the second and third-floor balconies of the three-story apartment building that houses 20 families.

All residents were able to get out of the apartment while firefighters extinguished the fire on both floors.

Red Cross of Wisconsin will be assisting seven adults who were displaced by this fire. Damage estimates are still being assessed.
