Fire causes $100,000 in damage to Racine building

RACINE, Wis. (CBS 58) – The Racine Fire Department was called to a fire Wednesday night near 16th St. and Slauson Ave.

Authorities say when crews got on the scene, they observed a fire coming through the roof of a two story building. The fire was put out in less than an hour.

No one was inside the building at the time. Authorities believe the fire caused around $100,000 in damage to the building.

The cause of the blaze remains under investigation.
