Fire breaks out following explosion at industrial site in Menomonee Falls

UPDATED at 9:15 a.m. on April 15, 2024:

MENOMONEE FALLS, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Fire crews tackled a structure fire at Arco Sales and Engineering following a reported explosion at the site.

The Menomonee Falls Fire Department says the fire began Sunday evening, with first responders observing smoke when they arrived, leading to an immediate response.

The fire was contained by 8:40 p.m. with no injuries as the business was closed and unoccupied at the time. Multiple agencies, including teams from Wauwatosa, Merton and other local departments supported MFFD.

The explosion and subsequent fire is under investigation to determine the cause of the explosion and subsequent fire. Fire investigators from Menomonee Falls are leading the investigation.

MENOMONEE FALLS, Wis. (CBS 58) -- In Menomonee Falls, a fire broke out at an industrial site on Sunday, April 14. 

Several fire departments were on scene at the Arco Sales and Engineering building near Carmen and Silver Spring. 

CBS 58 had a crew on scene. A large part of the building was destroyed by the fire. 

It is unknown if there were any injuries.
