There hasn't been much in the way of chilly weather so far this month. In fact, Milwaukee has been experiencing its warmest October on record with an average temperature running 9.4° above normal.
Temps will remain well above normal today, making a run at 70° in many spots, but temperatures will tumble throughout the day on Thursday behind a cold front and low pressure system. The high of 60° will likely occur around midnight, with temps spending most of the day in the low to mid 50s. Highs will remain in the 50s through the weekend.
May 29th was the last time Milwaukee experienced a high temp at or below 60 degrees (145 days ago!!), but we'll likely come up just short of the all time record of 147 consecutive days at or above 60°.
Not only will it be chilly during the day, but we'll likely have our first widespread frost Friday night into Saturday morning as temps dip into the 30s.
Before the chilly air gets here, we'll have to deal with a few scattered showers and isolated storms this afternoon into tonight. A few wrap around showers are likely on Thursday morning as well before we dry out heading into the weekend.
Download the CBS 58 Ready Weather App to track the showers and storms and to get any Frost Advisories sent to your phone.
