Packers fans pack Milwaukee sports bars for rivalry showdown against Bears 

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) — Green and gold-filled sports bars across Milwaukee Thursday night as fans gathered to watch the Packers take on their longtime rivals, the Chicago Bears.

At Major Goolsby’s, excitement was high long before kickoff. The bar quickly reached capacity, forcing staff to turn fans away as more than 350 people packed inside to watch the game.

“It’s always electric for a Packers-Bears matchup,” said Nashanda Brown, a lifelong Packers fan. “I’ve been a fan since I was 5 years old because of my grandad and I’m really excited because this is a rivalry game. It’s always been a great environment playing the Packers versus the Bears, so this is really fun today.”

Fans erupted with every Packers touchdown, their cheers echoing throughout the bar as the game unfolded. 

Many said watching alongside fellow fans made the rivalry even more intense.

With anticipation high and emotions running strong, fans settled in to see whether the Packers could come out on top in one of the NFL’s most storied rivalries.
