Warm and mostly dry Memorial Day
MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- On Tuesday, family and friends gathered in Milwaukee to mourn Sade Robinson one year after she went missing.
Parts of Robinson's body were discovered across Milwaukee County and a man was later arrested for her suspected murder.
People held pink balloons and released them to honor Robinson. Organizers led chants for her and thanked the community for their continued support after what they call a "shocking tragedy."
"I appreciate each and every one of you for coming out. Each and every person who has donated the bench and the memorial for Sade, those who brought pink items for the pink-out, who have marched with us, those who have searched with us. We greatly appreciate each and every one of you."
The man arrested for Robinson's death, Maxwell Anderson, is set to stand trial in May.
