Fall Weather Returns

After a beautiful weekend, a return to fall-like weather is on the way. Some isolated spots on Sunday hit eighty degrees, and even a few spots in the 90s in Michigan's Upper Peninsula. Today, a cold front swept through bringing some clouds and also windy conditions! Wind gusts have been over 30 mph in spots and a secondary cold front is on the way for this evening. That could bring a few showers across the northern edge of the viewing area and will also reinforce the colder air and keep the winds howling.

Take a look at the seventies being replaced by 50s overnight with strong winds from the northwest. Even during the afternoon temperatures will struggle for Tuesday and likely stay in the upper 50s. The wind eases up as high pressure settles in on Wednesday. Highs should be near sixty. By Thursday, another cold front swings through and provides us with a chance for showers, mainly during the middle of the day. Behind that weather maker, temps will really take a dive. Highs will only top in the low 50s and overnight lows will fall to the 30s. It looks like we have a decent shot at seeing our first frost by the end of the week. Take measures cover up and protect any cold sensitive plants you may want to hang onto for a while yet.
