MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- An exclusive dating app is launching in Milwaukee next week, but not everyone can get in on the action.
"The League" dating app is currently available in 37 cities, but next Tuesday, October 9, certain singles in Milwaukee can start using it.
The invite-only app focuses on educated, career-driven, singles that have to be verified on Facebook and LinkedIn.
According to The League, there are about 3,000 people on the waitlist to join the app in Milwaukee. 500 users will be selected as Milwaukee's "founding class" on Tuesday and more will be added later.
Applicants were selected based on a variety of factors: degree, education institution, professional title (or past professions), industry, number of referrals, and, finally, the number of users inside that fit preferences.
“Milwaukee is ready for us!” says Amanda Bradford, Founder and CEO of The League. “We are excited to bring The League to the intelligent, ambitious and high-achieving community of single people here.”
