EveryBODY Plays! event set for Saturday at Nathan Hale High School in West Allis

The Medical College of Wisconsin's department of physical medicine and rehabilitation will host the 2nd Annual EveryBODY Plays! Adaptive Sports and Recreation Expo July 25th at Nathan Hale High School in West Allis.

EveryBODY! Plays! is designed to introduce adaptive sports and recreation to individuals with disabilities and to create awareness in Southeast Wisconsin.

More than 45 different organizations will showcase their programs. 

Organizer and War Veteran Dr. Kenneth Lee of the Zablocki V.A. Medical Center is an organizer and was a special live guest on the CBS 58 News at 4:30 p.m.

\"By gathering this many resources in one place, we can demonstrate to persons with disabilities the many opportunities available to them in the community, perhaps in their own backyards, and also raise awareness across Southeastern Wisconsin of the substantial need for programs that meet the needs of persons with disabilities,\" said Dr. Lee

Events will included handcycling, kayaking, tennis, wheelchair basketball, children's activities, a climbing wall, and more.

The event is free and open to the public.

It will be held rain or shine. Activities bein at 9:00 a.m. and run through 2:00 p.m.
