MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- At the end of last month, the beloved Estabrook Beer Garden had over $10,000 worth of equipment stolen.
A week after the theft, some of the stolen equipment was spotted in a food truck on Milwaukee's south side.
"I received a call from the sheriff's department asking if there was a way I could identify the fryers, and I pointed out some ways I could identify them and most prominently that they have labels on them," said Hans Weissgerber, operator of Estabrook Beer Garden.
Weissgerber said two fryers were found near 13th and Hayes on the city's south side. A freezer is still missing.
According to a search warrant, a tip led investigators to the south side, where they found a man installing the fryers into a food truck. The man installing the fryers claimed he bought them off of someone else.
A CBS 58 source said the DA's office is reviewing the case and considering charges.
