Ernie Johnson Jr. to receive 2023 Vince Lombardi Award of Excellence on March 3

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee's own and TNT NBA broadcaster Ernie Johnson Jr. will return to his hometown to accept the Award of Excellence from the Vince Lombardi Cancer Foundation on March 3 at Fiserv Forum.

There will be multiple guest speakers at the ceremony, including Milwaukee Bucks and Fiserv Forum President Peter Feigin, Bucks guard Pat Connaughton, Vince Lombardi's grandson John Lombardi and many more!

"It's an honor to be selected for this award," said Ernie Johnson Jr. "Everyone goes through hardships, and I am glad my story can help others overcome their own challenges."

Today through Feb. 15, people who purchase a ticket to the event will also receive a complementary ticket to the Bucks vs. 76ers game on Sunday, Apr. 2.

Tickets to the event will include dinner on the arena floor, an open bar reception and a Q&A session with Ernie Johnson Jr. and the guest speakers.

All proceeds will go towards the Vince Lombardi Cancer Foundation, in honor of Vince Lombardi, who passed away from cancer at age 57.
