Ephraim in Door County is no Longer a Dry Village

For the first time ever, the formerly dry Village of Ephraim will be able to celebrate the holiday weekend with their favorite beer, wine, or whatever they want to drink.

Merchants can start selling alcohol. The people there are excited about the ordinance change. This was the last dry community left in Wisconsin.

Trucks full of alcohol didn't drive through Ephraim Thursday, they stopped to drop off wine at local businesses for the first time ever.

This comes after 163 years of not allowing alcohol sales. It also comes just in time for the busy summer tourism season in Door County.
