Body of missing 27-year-old Elkhorn man recovered in retention pond

ELKHORN, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Elkhorn police have recovered the body of a 27-year-old man named Dexter Allen Johnson after he was reported missing on May 23.

Police say Johnson's body was recovered from a retention pond at 10:55 a.m. today, on May 25.

Foul play is not suspected to be a cause of death.

The Walworth County Medical Examiner's Office will make official identification and investigate the cause of death.


ELKHORN, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The Elkhorn Police Department needs the public's help in finding a missing person named Dexter Allen Johnson, nicknamed, "Junior."

Dexter was last seen on camera at about 9:00 p.m. at Casey's gas station on the north side of Elkhorn heading north. Attempts to locate him by pinging his cell phone have been unsuccessful.

Dexter is described as a 27-year-old white man standing 6' tall and weighing 200 libs. He has brown eyes and black hair.

He was last seen wearing a black cowboy hat, black shorts, tank top and a backpack. He was also wearing glasses and has two piercings in his left ear.

Dexter walked away from his residence on Sunday, May 21 around 6:30 p.m.

He is usually gone for about 2 hours at the most.

Dexter takes medication for seizures and it is not known if he has his medication with him.

He is also having delusions of being watched by people in his ceiling.
