Elected leaders address Milwaukee's violence at community meeting

MILWAUKEE -- City leaders could face tough questions Monday morning from residents fed up with crime and gun violence in Milwaukee.

Three people were killed and six others were wounded in seven shooting incidents in the city between May 16th and May 19th, right at the end of the city's annual Ceasefire Week.

The public forum is an opportunity for officials to give them information about work opportunities along with the role that the community can play in doing something about the crime.

Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett outlined plans to deal with jobs and the housing crisis.

Alderman Bob Donovan has announced his own news conference addressing Milwaukee's violence. He's been critical of the mayor's efforts to battle Milwaukee's violence problem.
