Elderly man injured in Shorewood carjacking; police seek male and female suspect

SHOREWOOD, Wis. (CBS 58) -- An elderly Shorewood man was injured and carjacked by two suspects Wednesday night, Dec. 16.

Shorewood police say around 8:25 p.m., the victim was entering his vehicle near Jarvis Street and Murray Avenue, when a dark-colored sedan pulled up behind him.

According to police, a man and woman got out of the vehicle and approached the man asking for directions. That's when, police say, the male suspect pulled out a handgun and demanded the keys from the victim.

The victim didn't comply at first, and police say the male suspect pushed him to the ground -- causing him injuries to his head and thumb.

The suspects were able to get the keys from the man's vehicle, and the female suspect got in it and sped off eastbound on Jarvis -- the male suspect followed behind in the vehicle they arrived in.

An investigation into the incident is ongoing.

Anyone with information on this carjacking is urged to contact Shorewood police at 414-351-9900.
