Elderly Cudahy couple gets vaccinated together, marking 10,000th dose administered at Aurora St. Luke's South Shore

CUDAHY, Wis. (CBS 58) --- A local couple in their 80's are doing their part to end the pandemic. 

George and Karon Jakab of Cudahy each got their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine this week at Aurora St. Luke's South Shore.

According to Aurora Health Care's Instagram, Karon's dose was the 10,000th administered at South Shore.

Karen, 80, and George, 82, say they are both thrilled to have gotten their vaccine together. 

As Aurora Health Care put it, "the couple that gets vaccinated together - stays together!"
