Eddie Lacy's Injury More Serious Than Previously Thought

The same day we found out that back up Packers Running Back James Starks will miss time, on Tuesday comes word that starting Running Back Eddie Lacy will miss a few weeks.

Ian Rappaport from NFL.COM tweeting that Lacy will miss a few weeks with an injury that's more severe than just a sprained ankle.

Lacy did not practice Tuesday.

He played Sunday but was ineffective for the most part.

That could explain the Packers trade for running back Knile Davis from the Kansas City Chiefs.

The team announced on Tuesday that it had placed Cornerback Sam Shields on injured reserve.

Shields has missed the past four games with concussion symptoms, which have dogged him for his entire pro career.

The earliest Shields could return to the field is the week 15 game against Chicago.

Thursday night football is at Lambeau against the Bears.

CBS 58 will provide  special pre-game coverage beginning at 6 p.m.

Then stay up after the game for a late edition of the CBS 58 News at 10 with post game and reaction.
