Economic study finds Bucks Arena project is good for jobs

MILWAUKEE -- A new study says the Buck's Arena proposal will help create jobs. Economist Dr. Anthony Pennington Cross with Marquette University says the entertainment district that would include the arena would equal about 2,100 permanent jobs. He believes that would add to the 14,000 construction jobs to build the arena.

Dr. Cross says the project blends into the urban landscape and would create more synergy between housing and businesses making it walk-able for the community to come and go. The study was music to the MMAC who has been pushing for the project.

There has been opposition to the project. Opponents have said the project is too costly, and too close to the other arena.
