Eau Claire couple celebrates 75 years of marriage

EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Congratulations are in order for a couple in Eau Claire. 

Bill and Betty Davey are celebrating 75 years of marriage. 

They were hitched back in 1948, and have some advice for younger couples looking to stay together as long as they have.

Betty: "Be pals with each other. I think that's one of the goodest ones I can think of. Be a friend. Get mad at him, you still have to get mad at him." 

Bill: "Oh yeah, but it doesn't last very long." 

Betty: "No." 

Bill and Betty have lived in Wisconsin practically their whole lives. They briefly moved down to Florida to enjoy retirement, but the couple made their way back to Wisconsin a couple years ago to be closer to family.
