Early Morning Chase Ends with Stop Sticks

On Saturday morning at approximately 2:28 AM, a West Allis Police Officer attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a vehicle for displaying stolen license plates in the area of 60th and National Avenue.

The vehicle fled from the West Allis squad car and the officer pursued the vehicle. Stops Sticks were successfully deployed and the pursuit ended in the area of 46th and North Avenue in the City of Milwaukee due to the damage caused to the fleeing vehicles tires from the stop stick deployment. 

The occupants of the vehicle fled on foot. West Allis Police officers with the assistance of MPD were able to locate and arrest three of the occupants, one of which was the operator of the fleeing vehicle. 

There were no injuries reported. The incident is under investigation.
