Early March Snow Storm Blankets The Area
Southeast Wisconsin woke up to a fresh powder of snow early Tuesday as a quick-moving storm system dumped anywhere from 1 to 4 inches across the area with some isolated higher amounts. And although the heaviest snow has come and gone, we still face the possibility of a light wintry mix into the afternoon. A Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 3 PM, so you are urged to drive with caution. Here's a sample of snowfall amounts across the area:
As warmer air struggled to push northward into southern Wisconsin, snowfall amounts continued to add up across Racine and Kenosha counties versus the switch over to liquid precipitation.
