Early March Snow Storm Blankets The Area

Southeast Wisconsin woke up to a fresh powder of snow early Tuesday as a quick-moving storm system dumped anywhere from 1 to 4 inches across the area with some isolated higher amounts.  And although the heaviest snow has come and gone, we still face the possibility of a light wintry mix into the afternoon.  A Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 3 PM, so you are urged to drive with caution.  Here's a sample of snowfall amounts across the area:

As warmer air struggled to push northward into southern Wisconsin, snowfall amounts continued to add up across Racine and Kenosha counties versus the switch over to liquid precipitation. The result is reflected in those higher snow amounts.
