Duke bests Badgers in ACC-Big Ten Challenge

The Badgers suffered their first loss of the 2014-15 season Wednesday night, dropping an 80-70 decision to fourth ranked Duke at the Kohl Center as part of the ACC-Big Ten Challenge.

Traevon Jackson scored 25, Frank Kaminsky 17 for Wisconsin (7-1), who came into the game ranked second in the latest AP poll. But Duke put on a very Duke-like performance, hitting 65 percent of their shots from the floor, including 58 percent from three-point range.

Nigel Hayes picked up a basket and a foul in the second half, hitting the free throw to give Wisconsin a 43-42 lead. But from there, Duke went on a 16-6 run never looked back. Tyus Jones scored 22, Jahlil Okafor 13 for the Blue Devils (8-0).

Wisconsin and Marquette battle Saturday at the BMO Harris Bradley Center at 11:30AM. That game can be seen live on CBS 58.
