Driver Tests Positive for THC after Striking Two Women at Strawberry Fest

The man who hit two pedestrians on Sunday during Strawberry Fest in Cedarburg is facing more than 20 years in prison if convicted.

Kunle Famakinwa was charged with reckless driving causing bodily harm, second degree reckless injury, possession with intent to deliver THC, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Two women were allegedly struck by the suspect’s vehicle and flew through the air. The younger victim suffered a broken rib, and the older victim suffered multiple broken ribs and fractured neck.

The suspect’s car allegedly had a marijuana odor, and a small baggie of marijuana was found in the car.  In addition, a large glass jar filled with buds with a scale was found in the car.

After the crash Famakinwa became aggressive towards officers, and said he was diabetic and had low blood sugar.

The suspect tested positive for THC.
