Driver Pleads Guilty in Crash that Killed Baby in Stroller

BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) — A driver whose car struck and killed a baby in a stroller faces two to four years in prison after pleading guilty to several charges.

Prosecutors say 43-year-old D'Andre Turner, of Buffalo, was under the influence of marijuana in June when he drove across the road and struck three people. Seven-month-old Nyree Greene died. The baby's mother and aunt survived.

Turner pleaded guilty Friday in state Supreme Court to criminally negligent homicide, assault and driving while impaired by drugs.

Turner told investigators he was reaching to pick up a pen when the collision happened.

Sentencing is scheduled for Dec. 12.
